The UK Ultimate 1/2 Triathlon is our demanding and much sought after 'half iron distance' event and returning yet again to the beautiful Alderford Lake venue in Whitchurch.

You can use this information as a guide for your 2022 event. Full and up to date 2022 competitor race day information with your race number and start time will be emailed to you 7-10 days before the event.

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT POST ANYTHING OUT - you will collect your race numbers, tattoos, stickers, etc. at registration on the day.

Ultimate Half will start from 0900hrs with a rolling wave.

The cut-off times for the Ultimate Half Triathlon and Relay are as follows:

Swim: 1 hour 15 minutes after the start time

Bike: 6 hours after the start time

Run: 9 hours 30 minutes after the start time

Run Course

On Sunday the 25th June 2023 the Ultimate Triathlon will take place at Alderford Lake.

Tilstock Road will be closed from the outer limit of Tilstock to the roundabout on the Whitchurch bypass from 7am to 12 midnight.  Competitors will be running on Tilstock Road from 11am and turning at the outer limit of Tilstock before heading back to Alderford. Competitors will be swimming at Alderford Lake and cycling beforehand.

The event will have 500 competitors of all ages from all over the UK competing over the Ultimate Half Triathlon distances of 1.2 mile swim - 56 mile cycle - 13.1 mile run or The Ultimate Triathlon distances of 2.4 mile swim - 112 mile cycle - 26.2 mile run, many will be competing for charity.

Hopefully it won't inconvenience you but if it does, we are sorry in advance. Dependant on the competitors on the day, we will try to reopen the road by 10pm.

First Middle Distance

What a great day, great event and great organisation.

The lake is fantastic, clear and warm when weraced. Bike chalenging without being too hard - pity about the A41 - zero local support on the route but great support at the turn point back at the lake.

Multi lap run with loads of feed stations and passes the finish area each lap so great for supporters and atmosphere.

Thouroughly enjoyed it and will be back...
